1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Assayer Software Inc., 285 Chestnut Way, Brooklyn, NY 11216 ("Assayer", "we"). They apply to assayer.gg, the Assayer web app and the Assayer desktop apps (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a minor in your care, you accept these terms on their behalf.
2. What Assayer does
Assayer estimates the cost of replacing the cosmetic items in a Fortnite locker at current Item Shop prices, estimates what was paid for them, and publishes a daily appraisal of the public Item Shop. Assayer does not connect to your Epic Games account, does not sell V-Bucks or Fortnite items, and does not facilitate the sale, purchase or transfer of accounts or items.
3. About appraised values
Appraisals are estimates for your information only. They are based on the item counts you enter or the screenshots you add, typical Item Shop prices for each rarity and Epic's published US V-Bucks pack prices. Actual prices vary with bundles, discounts and promotions, and Epic can change prices at any time. An appraisal is not a statement of resale value, is not financial advice and should not be relied on for any purchase, tax or legal decision.
4. Accounts and eligibility
The free appraisal does not need an account. To buy Assayer Plus you must be at least 18 or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms. You are responsible for keeping your Assayer password private and for activity under your account. Never use your Epic Games password for Assayer.
5. Plans, billing and refunds
- Prices. Assayer Plus costs $2.49 per month or $19.99 per year in US dollars, plus applicable sales tax.
- Renewal. Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. We will email you at least 7 days before an annual renewal and at least 30 days before any price change.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing billing@assayer.gg. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. If you're new to Plus, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first charge, no questions asked. After that, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or if the Service was unavailable for a significant part of your billing period through our fault.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service to buy, sell, trade or value accounts for sale; scrape or bulk-download the Service; attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer it, except as permitted by law; upload content you don't have the right to share or that contains malware; or use the Service to violate Epic Games' terms or any law. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Fortnite, V-Bucks and Fortnite item names and images are trademarks or copyrights of Epic Games, Inc. and appear in the Service only to identify items. Assayer is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Epic Games. The Assayer software, design, appraisal method and text belong to Assayer Software Inc. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service under these terms. Appraisals you export are yours to share.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or that Item Shop data will always be current.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Assayer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please email legal@assayer.gg so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can't, either of us may bring a claim in small claims court, or otherwise in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction.
